Playlists are too easy. I miss the restrictions of old mixtapes and mix CDs. You had to put some thought into what you were going to include because space on your chosen physical medium was finite. Every streaming service has their “essential” playlists for artists, but they always choose the hits. I’m bringing in some guests and we’re going to create playlists with one rule: 80 minute maximum. Just like we had back in the day when we burned CDs. Then we’ll discuss what made the cut, what was left out, and why. These are our mix CDs.
